Front Office Manager
(38 hours per week)

What will you do?

As Front Office Manager, you will be the link that ensures every guest has a True Hospitality experience. You will lead the Front Office team, focusing on Dare to Connect and ensuring that the guest has an unforgettable first impression. In addition, you will be the point of contact for all guest related and concierge duties and all administrative matters. You are the driving force in encouraging, motivating and guiding the team. This consists of the day and night teams. You will also be responsible for upselling rooms and restaurant reservations. You will also monitor the IHG Standards

Duties and responsibilities are:

  • Ensuring that the FO team delivers great service with personal attention to all our guests;
  • Implement and monitor IHG standards;
  • Operationally participate in reception shifts;
  • Participating in duty shifts;
  • Co-create duty roster;
  • Evaluate and monitor IHG guest scores using IHG Heartbeat;
  • Ensuring that VIP guests are recognized;
  • Responsible for complaint policy and ensuring prompt feedback;
  • Responsible for maintaining guest relationships;
  • Coach, train and encourage team (IHG, safety, Opera, upsell);
  • Co-responsible for departmental budget and financial plans;
  • Responsible for own payroll budget along with HR;
  • Accountable to GM and hotel manager;
  • Be part of the safety team;
  • Preparation of rosters using electronic payroll system;
  • Co-responsible with the night team for the night audit and daily;
  • Co-create plans to increase occupancy and ADR;
  • Checking guest accounts;
  • Communicate complaints to relevant departments;
  • Maintain good relations with Housekeeping and technical service;
  • Co-responsible for selecting own team;
  • Conduct assessment and performance reviews;
  • Ultimately, you are responsible for the first impression that the hotel gives off and, of course, you make sure that this is always welcoming, friendly and professional.

Who are you?

Completed hotel school/ tourism education;
Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience;
Hotel management experience is a plus;
Speaks fluent Dutch and English;
Strong communication skills;
Flexibility regarding weekend work is a must.

Crowne Plaza Maastricht is an international 4* hotel and is located directly on the river Maas, with 174 rooms, nine banqueting halls, a hotel bar and a culinary restaurant “De Mangerie”.
